If you can smile, you can play!

I am very afraid at what can happen to us for the remainder of the season.  However, I don’t suspect that we will roll over and let everyone blast us, feeling sorry for ourselves.  Gillispie loves to preach toughness; now, here’s our chance to prove that we won’t back down.  Tough place to start, though.

You can always look to Rick Bozich to raise your spirits in a time of need. (Courier-Journal)

Larry Vaught agrees. (Advocate-Messenger)

I kind of want to punch this tool in the junk. (AOL Fanhouse)

Want more bad news? Jamil Paris’ career is over. (Courier-Journal)

John Clay’s piece about ‘the hole’ that Patterson leaves. (Herald-Leader)

UT blog about the failings of UK. (Losers with Socks)

Remember Jenni Carlson? She was the lady that wrote the article that turned Mike Gundy into a person that people cared about. Anyway, now she speaks about Sampson’s situation, and I almost agree with her. Except, she suggests in some ways that it was OK for Sampson to cheat at OU, seeing as it is difficult to get basketball players to Norman. Basically, she overstates the difficulty to get players to go to OU and oversimplifies how easy it is to get them to go to Bloomington. The truth is in the middle of those two theories. (35 Seconds)

An article about Gillispie in the Lawrence (KS) newspaper. Touching. (Lawrence-Journal)

We’ll have more throughout the day, mostly about the game tomorrow.  I’m sad.

Gillispie also likes tough sentence structures.

Good luck to Patterson in his recovery. Now Cat fans know how we’ve felt the past 7 years.
