Matthew Mitchell’s first year as the head coach of the University of Kentucky women’s basketball team did not end with a berth in the NCAA tournament - even after an upset of #21 Georgia in the SEC tournament and an impressive run to a 4th place finish in the brutal conference.  For now, the Wildcats will focus their sights on the winner of Wednesday’s Western Carolina and Middle Tennesee State game, who they will play in the Women’s NIT on Friday at 7 pm.  Tickets are $10.
